Alan Hewit is an American composer, producer, recording and performing artist. He has released multiple solo albums and has written music for movies and television. He has served as keyboardist for the Moody Blues since 2010.

Boyce Thorne Miller is an oceanographer and author who has worked as an advocate for the ocean for nearly three decades.  Formerly a policy specialist, her work in global policy included marine pollution and the implementation of the precautionary principle in international agreements.  She has written four books on marine biodiversity, including two used as college texts.  She was a consultant for several national and international nongovernmental organizations on coastal environmental issues and biodiversity, and later with SeaWeb, she delved more into fisheries and aquaculture policies. As a staff member of the Northwest Atlantic Marine Alliance she worked for several years with local fishing communities.

Charles Miller is a trial attorney at Bartko, Zankel, Bunzel & Miller, a professional law corporation. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law.He specializes in complex business litigation. Over the course of his career, he has handled a wide variety of matters, including class actions and multi-district litigation in various state and federal courts.

Stan Minasian worked extensively to find a solution to the incidental killing of dolpins in purse seine tuna nets in the eastern tropical Pacific, eventually resulting in a significant reduction in dolphin deaths.  He has worked as an environmental documentary filmmaker whose films have appeared on the Discovery Channel, Public Broadcasting, Westinghouse Broadcasting Systems and internationally. One of his films was the recepient of three Emmy Awards.

Birgit Winning is president and executive director of Bluecology. Previously, she served as president of The Oceanic Society for 24 years, and also has worked in management at Steinhart Aquarium, California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.  She has served on several national and international marine protected areas committees and councils, and produced best practices guidelines on behalf of governmental agencies.  She authored and co-authored popular and technical articles on marine life and threatened habitats.
